Maxillary expansion is an amazing clinical tool, best used when the time is right. We were able to expand this patients upper jaw, upright her lower teeth, and correct all of her crowding without extractions! If put off too long, these problems end up requiring surgery. We are so happy for this patient and her amazing new smile!

We had the best surprise visit from Jewel, her baby boy Rafael, and husband Francisco while celebrating Kazmir’s birthday! Jewel worked with our front office from 2024-2025 before taking her dream job coaching college soccer in Illinois. We miss you Jewel and thank you for coming to surprise us!!

We had a great time in Orlando for the AAO Annual Session 2026! Hours and hours of insightful lectures to better our patient care, but ended with a fun night at Universal Studios!

Beyond words for how special this moment was. Mrs. Velasquez is our sweetest patient, a kindergarten teacher, and accomplished children’s author of fabulous books about our RGV culture. She hinted at the idea of writing a book about her braces journey, and fast forward to reality! Dr. Havener has already read it over and over with his twin girls. Moments like these make us love why we do this. Thank you Monica for the best gift in the world!

Underbite or underdog - this transformation hits just as hard as a March Madness upset 🏀

Bite corrected. Confidence restored. Game won.
