Join us on Wednesday, June 24th for the 31st Annual First Swing Adaptive Golf Clinic. Whether you've never picked up a golf club or you've been curious about adaptive sports, this event is designed to be fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly.

We'll have adaptive equipment, adaptive golf carts, instructors, volunteers, and plenty of support to help you feel comfortable taking that first swing.

Out on a Limb Amputee Support Group is coming up next Thursday, May 28.

This month’s topic is “Back to Basics: The Not-So-Mundane Daily Life of an Amputee.” We’ll be talking about the everyday things that can feel frustrating, complicated, or misunderstood after limb loss — the things people don’t always see, but amputees navigate every day.

Group leader Ken Hoffman, an amputee for 25 years, will be leading the conversation with practical strategies, perspective, and answers. No challenge is too small, and there are no “stupid” questions.

If you’ve ever thought about trying golf after limb loss… this is where to start.

Our 31st Annual First Swing Learn to Golf Event is Wednesday, June 24 at Spring Meadow Golf Course, and it's always one of the best days of the year! Rehab professionals earn 6 CE credits in the morning, then head straight to the driving range to apply what they've learned with our amputee participants. The afternoon is open to amputees and anyone with physical challenges and is all about getting out there, hitting balls, and having a great time.

Any and all ability levels are absolutely welcome!

Hosted in conjunction with Eastern Amputee Golf Association, with instruction from Lou Namm—and lunch for everyone, courtesy of Manfredi O&P, prepared by Chef Wesley Dustin of Meadow 28.

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into exercise after amputation, you don’t need to have it all figured out before you start. Most people aren’t sure where to begin, so they hold off longer than they need to. The reality is, progress comes from starting where you are and building from there.

That’s exactly why we partnered with Forged Amputee Wellness. It’s a free fitness program for all Manfredi patients that’s designed specifically for amputees. It meets you where you are, no matter your fitness level, and allows you to go at your own pace. It would normally be $25 a month, but it’s included for our patients.
