Today we have another case that demonstrates a few malocclusion issues that we routinely see in our office:
- anterior edge to edge bite at the right canines and lateral incisor causing premature wear
- crowding of the upper and lower anterior teeth

It took just a few months over 1 year to get our patient well aligned to see that amazing smile!

These cases can appear straightforward but they do benefit from careful planning to get 100% on point. Here we combined tongue habit training, proper retention protocol, proper anchorage to align the midlines, a bit of enameloplasty touch up for this amazing finish.

This patient came to us with two congenitally missing incisors. Look closely at the before photo and see if you can guess which teeth were still baby teeth!

With carefully planned orthodontic treatment and a little enamel reshaping, we were able to create a beautiful, balanced smile using only her natural teeth.

Yes... we definitely need your help with wearing those elastic bands 🙇🏼! The patient in this story got very lucky that her teeth responded very quickly to full time elastics wear after a short time period. In most cases, it does require a lot of consistency and patience to get there. It's a marathon and not a sprint 🏃But we know you can do it so try to keep it up!

A little orthodontic PSA for parents 👇

Did you know kids should have their first orthodontic screening around age 7? Early checkups help us spot bite and jaw growth issues while children are still growing, when treatment can be simpler and more effective.

Our patient came to us with a crossbite that caused his jaw to shift to one side when he bit down. Over time, this can lead to uneven jaw growth if left untreated. With the help of a palatal expander and partial braces, we were able to guide his bite into a healthier position and support balanced growth!

Bonus: he did an awesome job keeping his teeth clean throughout treatment. Good hygiene + great teamwork always lead to the best results!

Our patient originally presented with midline deviation, blocked out canine and premolar teeth, and crowded arches. After 2 years of orthodontics and some enamel touch up, she got done with an amazing smile as seen here.
