We have been thinking about you and hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. Everyone has been through a lot and is ready to start normal routines again. As we welcome you back to our office, we want to reassure you that your safe treatment here is our number one goal. We are following the most recent advice from the CDC and our professional organizations to make changes to keep you, our other patients, and our staff, safe from infection. Some changes include:

• Our staff will ask you screening questions before your appointment.

• Please use the hand sanitizer that we have available when you come into the office.

• We have removed hard-to-disinfect items in the waiting room to make it easier to clean frequently during the day.

• We are allowing more time between appointments to manage social distancing between patients. We may ask you to wait in your car instead of the waiting room.

• We also ask that you come into the office alone. If necessary, one caregiver or family member may come in with the patient.

• We may take your temperature before your appointment.

• You may see that all staff, including the front office staff, will be wearing masks.

• We ask that everyone who enters the office wear a face covering or mask.

• There may be other changes as we try to keep social distancing to six feet. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient, safe in our office.

We are going to open to seeing patients again on June 1st! We will start contacting patients after the holiday weekend to start to schedule treatment for the coming weeks. We have been preparing our office with the latest CDC, OSHA, WHO and local guidelines to keep you and our staff safe. We look forward to seeing you all again soon and stay safe.

The Michigan Dental Association is strongly recommending that Michigan dentists close their offices beginning March 17 for at least two weeks to patients seeking preventive and elective care and limit treatment to necessary treatment and patients requiring emergency care to preserve personal protective equipment. We at Patient Empowered Dentistry take the Health of our Patients and staff very seriously. Dr. Dyki will be available for emergency care and necessary treatment, his cell phone number will be on the office answering machine and we will be checking messages periodically if able. If you are exhibiting a fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath you should seek a test for covid-19. We will be contacting our patients to ask if you are experiencing these symptoms or are feeling ill and ask you to reschedule your appointment and seek testing. We will also be taking patients temperature in addition to our health history update. Patient safety has always been and will remain our highest priority and we will continue to follow all CDC, State, and Federal guidelines.

We are concerned about recent developments and would like to inform you that we are following all CDC and ADA guidelines. We take the safety and healthy of our staff very seriously.
