Please join us in congratulating our own Lindsey Mackley, COM®, on achieving Board Certification through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM)!

Becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist is a significant professional achievement that reflects years of advanced education, clinical experience, mentorship, and dedication to excellence in patient care.

For the past six years, Lindsey has devoted herself to helping infants, children, and adults improve oral function, breathing, feeding, swallowing, and overall health through Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Her passion for learning, commitment to her patients, and leadership within our team have helped countless families on their journey toward better function and wellness.

Many people first meet Moriah through the Pennsylvania Tongue Tie Center, but craniosacral therapy (CST) reaches far beyond tongue-tie care.

With a background in mental health counseling and extensive training in the mind-body connection, Moriah understands something that modern science continues to confirm: emotional stress affects the body, and physical pain affects our emotional well-being. The two are deeply intertwined.

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that helps calm the nervous system, reduce tension patterns, and support the body's natural ability to heal and regulate itself.

People seek CST for many reasons, including:

• Chronic headaches and migraines• Jaw tension and TMJ discomfort• Neck, shoulder, and back pain• Chronic pain syndromes• Anxiety and nervous system dysregulation• Depression and emotional overwhelm• Stress-related physical symptoms• Sleep difficulties and insomnia• Recovery from illness, injury, or surgery• Cancer treatment support and chemotherapy recovery• Grief and loss• Divorce and major life transitions• Caregiver fatigue and burnout• PTSD and trauma recovery support• Sensory processing challenges• Autism and special needs support• Tension held in the body after emotional experiences• Fatigue and chronic stress• Digestive issues influenced by stress and nervous system imbalance• Postural tension and movement restrictions• Feeling "stuck" physically, emotionally, or both

Sometimes people come because they hurt.

Sometimes they come because they are carrying stress, grief, fear, or exhaustion that words alone cannot resolve.

Sometimes they simply know that something feels "off" and want support reconnecting mind, body, and nervous system.

At its core, craniosacral therapy is about helping the body find safety, balance, and ease so healing can occur.

Whether you are a newborn struggling to feed, a teen navigating challenges, an adult managing chronic pain, or someone moving through one of life's difficult seasons, CST may offer a gentle path toward greater comfort and well-being.

You can make appointments to see Moriah by calling EBS 717-259-9596. She has flexible hours to suite your needs.

“Healing isn’t always about fixing a symptom. Sometimes it’s about helping the whole person find balance again.” ❤️

Thank you to two wonderful lactation professionals who recently spent time with us at the Pennsylvania Tongue-Tie Center!

We were delighted to welcome Cassy L. of The Nurtured Bond and Cassie C., RDN, LDN, IBCLC, of Hamilton Health Sciences Hamilton Health Center WIC/Early Intervention, for a behind-the-scenes look at our comprehensive approach to tongue-tie care.

At PTTC, we believe that optimal outcomes come from more than a release alone. Our model integrates evaluation, functional support, collaboration with lactation professionals, bodywork, craniosacral therapy (CST), and ongoing follow-up to help babies and families thrive.

During their visit, Cassy and Cassie not only learned more about the role of CST in our care model, but also experienced craniosacral therapy themselves. By feeling its gentle effects firsthand, they gained a deeper understanding of how CST can support both infants and mothers by helping reduce tension, improve comfort, and support overall function and well-being.

We are grateful for the trust they place in us through their referrals and for their commitment to continually learning and growing on behalf of the families they serve. Collaboration like this strengthens our community and helps more babies and moms receive the support they need to thrive.

Thank you, Cassy and Cassie, for spending time with us—we look forward to continuing to work together in support of healthier, happier families! 💕

🦷 We love caring for our East Berlin Smiles family, one generation at a time.

A little fun fact about Dr. Cockley: even her mom is one of her patients! 😊

Connie stopped by this week for her hygiene appointment, giving us the perfect opportunity to snap a mother-daughter photo. Seeing families return year after year—and sometimes generation after generation—is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We’re grateful for the trust our patients place in us and thankful to be part of so many family stories here in East Berlin.

❤️ And yes, moms never stop being moms, no matter how old their kids get!

We love seeing our little tongue-tie babies finally getting a full tummy. 🥰🌸
