Sharpening skills. Strengthening our team. Serving our community.
Our teams from both practices—A New Reason to Smile and Bull City Dental—had an amazing time at the Hinman Dental Conference in Atlanta.
We spent four days learning, laughing, bonding, and bringing back fresh knowledge, focused techniques, and forward-thinking ideas to our offices. Continuing education allows us to stay at the forefront of dentistry so we can provide the very best care for our patients.
Time spent together also strengthened the culture that defines our practices: professional, caring, supportive, and purpose-driven.
We are back home energized and excited to deliver exceptional dentistry and an even better patient experience to the community we love serving.

Tonia Lewis Bennett
Director of Operations

Tonia Lewis Bennett, a native of Henderson, North Carolina, has been a member of the dental profession since 1991. She joined our practice in northern Durham in 1997 and quickly established herself as a respected and innovative leader in the dental industry. Currently, she serves as the Director of Operations for both Bull City Dental and A New Reason to Smile, collaborating closely with the doctors, dental team, and patients. From the outset, Tonia was eager to assume the additional responsibility of implementing systems, office protocols, and staff recruitment strategies to elevate Bull City Dental to a successful practice in Durham.

Office Manager, Patient Care Coordinator

Liza first joined our Durham practice as a healthcare student intern from Southern High School. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she returned to serve as Financial Coordinator at our Newsom Street location. In 2022, Liza became Bull City Dental’s Office Manager, where she keeps everything running smoothly and ensures our patients feel welcome from the moment they arrive. She’s the steady, friendly force behind the front desk, and the heart of our patient experience.
