Astonishingly, the World Health Organization, months after remaining silent while dentistry found safe and effective means to provide dental care, decides the US is no better than a third world country. The ADA begs to differ in the strongest terms, as do I. What our office has done is nothing short of heroic, and we stand by our history and our word.

The American Dental Association released a statement Aug. 12 stating it "respectfully yet strongly disagrees" with the World Health Organization's interim guidance recommending that "routine" dental care be delayed in certain situations because of COVID-19.

I'm seeing posts about making your own hand sanitizer from vodka. This is very misleading, as vodka is about 80 proof (40% alcohol) and it must be over 60% ethanol to be effective. You can make your own hand sanitizer, but it's IMPERATIVE you make it properly. Get some Everclear or clear booze of your choice that is 190 proof (=95% alcohol) and mix it with some aloe vera gel. How much? 95% x .65= 61.75%, that's good enough.
So mix together 1 1/3 cups Everclear with 2/3 Cups Gel to make 2 cups of 65% hand sanitizer and you're off to the races. And the handshakes.
