We want to congratulate Janet Bennett & SAR K9 Douglas for earning their Tracking/Trailing certification recently.

This team trains regularly under us here at TTK9. Janet and Doug started out as a Pet Dog Client, then did some Service/Therapy Dog work and then Janet wanted to challenge Doug and herself more.

Therefore we told her we think they would make a great Search and Rescue team. So Janet and Douglas put in the time, energy and effort required to become the phenomenal team they are today! We then linked them up with our friends at Central Ohio Rescue/Recovery K9 Unit where they are now active K9 Team and doing what they do best!

I would have posted this sooner but we had to make a post that was even more current about this team first. Just days after certification they were called out on a missing child case and helped with the recovery operations resulting in the young child being brought home safely!

This team are truly some badasses! They work great together, are amazing students of the craft and have a hunger to get better and better each and every day!

Congrats again Janet & Douglas, we are proud of you, job well done!

Doc’s wife Janet, and their golden, SARK9 Douglas 🐾🐾

Just wanted to take a second and brag on this team a little bit.

Janet & Douglas are just one of our Search and Rescue teams we train. They are a Tracking/Trailing and Human Remains Detection K9 Team. Douglas and Janet started out as our average pet dog clients starting out in our Private In Home Program. Then they moved into our Intermediate/Advanced program and then decided to knock out Service Dog Training as well.

Janet (and Doug) then decided they wanted to do more with their new found skill sets and the love for Training. We suggested Tracking as another outlet for them.

Well needless to say Doug turned out to be quite the Tracking dog. Therefore as he continued to advance we recommended they join the Central Ohio Rescue/Recovery K9 Unit who we provide training for.

They were accepted to the team and have since also began Human Remains detection with us.

This photo was taken after their weekly training with us this past week at Greenfield Dam in Fairfield County Ohio.

As you can see they put in some work along the way but successfully completed their challenging & THICK Track resulting in finding their “missing person”.

This team gets better and better by the day and we love being part of the Journey.

We plan to start highlighting our various TTK9 “Regulars” in the various disciplines that we Train. Therefore you will see posts on our Search and Rescue Teams, our Police K-9 Teams, our Protection Sports Association Teams, Detection Teams, etc…

To Janet Bennett & Doug, keep doing big things and representing TTK9!
