CODT’s Extended Payment Plan allows eligible EFDA candidates to make 2–3 smaller installment payments toward their exam registration.

The plan is offered at no additional charge to eligible candidates with a checking or savings account. Payment timing is controlled by the candidate, and the final payment is due 1 week before the exam date.

Once a candidate’s first installment payment has cleared, their payment plan is considered active and their exam registration is reserved.

Candidates can review payment plan information through their CODT account dashboard.

When are EFDA exam results released?

Candidates who pass both portions of the EFDA examination will receive an email showing a pass/pass grade. A letter of explanation will be sent one week after the exam, and a certificate will be mailed approximately six months later.

After passing, candidates must register with the Ohio State Dental Board before they can begin practicing as an EFDA: www.dental.ohio.gov
