🦷📸 Why Do We Take Dental X-Rays?

Ever wondered why your dentist recommends dental X-rays, even when your teeth look and feel perfectly fine? Here’s why they’re such an important part of your dental care!

🩻 X-rays allow us to see what we can’t see during a regular exam. They can help us detect:
• Cavities hiding between teeth
• Bone loss and changes around the teeth
• Infections or abscesses
• Problems below the gumline
• Developing or impacted teeth
• Changes in existing dental work

🦷 Early detection matters! Some dental problems don’t cause pain or noticeable symptoms until they’ve progressed. Regular X-rays can help your dental team find concerns earlier, when treatment may be simpler and less invasive.

📅 How often do you need X-rays? It depends on your individual oral health, age, risk factors, symptoms, and dental history. Your dental team will recommend the appropriate schedule for you.

✨ Think of X-rays as another tool that helps us get the full picture of your oral health and keep your smile healthy for years to come!

Don’t skip your X-rays, your teeth may be hiding more than you think! 🦷💙

🦷 Stay on Track with Your Smile at Dothan Dental Group! 🦷

Routine dental cleanings do more than keep your teeth looking great, they help protect your overall oral health too!

✨ 3 Important Reasons to Stay Up to Date on Your Cleaning Appointments:

1️⃣ Prevent cavities before they start
Regular cleanings remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing can miss.

2️⃣ Catch problems early
Routine visits allow us to spot concerns like decay, gum disease, and other issues before they become bigger (and more costly).

3️⃣ Keep your smile healthy & bright
Professional cleanings help reduce staining, support healthier gums, and keep your smile feeling fresh.

📅 Don’t wait until something hurts, your healthiest smile starts with prevention!
