Experts estimate that 40 million Americans grind their teeth during the day or night, and up to 10 percent of those do it intensely enough to significantly damage their teeth, dental fillings, and crowns.

Try these strategies that will prevent teeth grinding.
-Wear a night guard to protect your teeth
-Exercise as it relieves the stress that may be causing the grind.
-Take a warm bath before bed.
-Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
-Learn new habits. While your mouth is closed, practice keeping your teeth apart.

Follow these tips should this ever happen. It’s always safe to
be prepared, so pass this along to your fellow friends and family members.

1. Poor preservation of knocked out tooth means loss of the tooth for good!
2. Pick the tooth up by the crown, NOT the root.
3. Reposition the tooth back in the socket immediately, if possible.
4. If not, place the tooth in the mouth with milk against the cheek.
5. Rush to the dentist immediately within 30 minutes of the injury!
