Did you know that a lip or tongue tie can lead to more cavities?

Cleaning teeth and gums properly can be more difficult with a shorter tongue. A tongue tie can pull against the gums on the back of the teeth causing recession. A lip tie may trap food and make it difficult to remove plaque from the front teeth. Without effective oral hygiene, smiles are vulnerable to tooth decay or gum inflammation.
