I’m all for people taking an interest in their health. In fact, I love it.
But one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that we can get so focused on whether something is “healthy” that we forget to ask a different question:
What is this doing to my mouth?
Gummy vitamins may be part of your supplement routine. Kombucha might be your favorite afternoon drink. Maybe you sip lemon water all day or keep mints in your purse.
I’m not here to tell you that you can’t have any of those things.
I just want you to understand that your mouth experiences these things in a very specific way—and frequency, acidity, sugar, saliva, breathing, and your oral microbiome all matter.
This is a big part of why I practice the way I do. I don’t want to simply look at a tooth and tell you what needs to be “fixed.”
I want to understand the bigger picture and help you understand it, too.
Because your mouth is part of your whole body. ✨
