Fit matters.

But a successful removable case has to do more than stay in place.

Tooth position, facial support, phonetics, occlusion, esthetics and the overall feel of the prosthesis all influence how a patient experiences the final result.

And those decisions don't happen after the denture is finished.

They happen while the case is being designed.

For dentists, that means the laboratory conversation can be just as important as the prescription itself, especially when the case involves challenging anatomy, limited space, esthetic demands or a patient with very specific expectations.

The best removable work is rarely about simply replacing teeth.

It’s about rebuilding something the patient can actually live with.

A beautiful scan on the screen does not automatically mean a great restorative file.

Before sending the case, look at it through your technician’s eyes. Can the margin actually be read? Is the interproximal anatomy complete? Does the bite give the designer enough reliable information to mount and design the case correctly?

That final 20-second review can be more valuable than simply getting through the scan faster.

And when you are deciding how much anatomy to capture, give the lab more usable information, not less. Your design team can ignore information they do not need. They cannot design around information that was never captured.
