Dental Tip Thursday: World Menopause Day is Sunday, and menopause can show up in your mouth, too. Dry mouth, burning sensations, increased sensitivity, changes in taste, or changes around the gums are all worth mentioning at your dental visit. Tip: do not assume a new symptom is simply something you have to live with. Tell your dental team so they can help protect your teeth, gums, and bone as your needs change.

Dental Tip Thursday: Ever wonder what those numbers mean when we check your gums? They measure the depth of the spaces between your teeth and gums. Healthy readings are usually 1 to 3 millimeters, while deeper pockets can signal gum disease. This National Dental Hygiene Month, ask our team at Havrilla Center what your numbers mean and which areas need extra attention at home.

Dental Tip Thursday: October is National Dental Hygiene Month, and twice a year is not the right cleaning schedule for everyone. After treatment for gum disease, you may need periodontal maintenance every three to four months to help keep it under control. Ask our team at Havrilla Center which schedule is right for your gums, and book your next visit before you leave.
