Keep Their Mouths Clean
The next time your child’s pacifier goes flying, don’t pick it up and put it in your mouth because you think that makes it cleaner. Cavity-causing bacteria can be passed through saliva, so you could actually be introducing germs to your child instead of protecting him or her from them. The same goes for mealtime. It can be second nature to offer a bite of your food to your baby from your fork or use their spoon to make sure their food is ready to eat. Keep your utensils, and your germs, separate for healthy mouth and body.

I have finally found a good honest dentist in San Diego.

The front staff is very nice and explained all my insurance questions. I know how it can be a pain to explain insurance but everyone I talked to was very willing to help me. I love Veronica who cleaned my teeth. She was ridiculously thorough as well gentle.

Prices are very reasonable and they don't try to make you have unnecessary work done.

I am happy to have switched to Dr. Charlton as a couple of Del Mar dentists I have visited recently were all up-selling (trying to get me, a 64 year old, Invisaline braces), insisting I needed crowns when a simple filling was all Dr. Charlton had to do. The most amazing thing was the permanent crown he put in in 2 1/2 hours. The permanent one was completed in his office while he did the filling. I have many crowns and always dread the 2-week waiting and dealing with a temporary so to have it all done in one visit is amazing. He gets my business until I die - Julia W.

Inspired as a child, by her dental hygienist, Chiola earned her RDH from Warton County College. Chiola joined our team in 2002 and quickly became a patient favorite. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and goes above and beyond for every patient. In her free time, Chiola runs half marathons and travels the world with her fiancé.
