What an honor it was to stand on stage as a speaker at the Amira Aesthetics Dental Retreat 🤎
For those who don’t know my story, my journey with Dr. Amira Ogunleye | Porcelain Veener Focus started long before this moment. I first walked into her practice as a mentee and intern, eager to learn everything I could. That opportunity eventually grew into becoming an associate, and for three years, we had the privilege of practicing alongside one another.
Until the day came for me to spread my wings and open a practice of my own.
So much of the dentist, practice owner, and woman I am today was shaped during those years. Dr. A gave me a place to learn, to grow, to make mistakes, to ask questions, and ultimately, the confidence to build something of my own.
Being invited back into her world in this capacity, this time to stand in front of an incredible room of dentists and share my own knowledge and experiences, was such a full-circle moment.
There is something so special about being in a room filled with dentists who genuinely want to learn from one another. I loved meeting so many of you, sharing what I’ve learned throughout my own career, answering your questions, and having conversations that I know will stay with me far beyond the retreat.
And to Dr. Amira, thank you 🥲
You may have started as my boss and mentor, but somewhere along the way, you became family. You are the big sister I gained through dentistry, and I will always be grateful for the role you have played, and still continue to play in my life and career.
Thank you for believing in me all those years ago, and thank you for believing that what I have to share today deserves a place on your stage.
