From cracked filling to a stronger, healthier restoration 🦷✨
This tooth presented with a fractured amalgam restoration, compromising the seal and integrity of the tooth. When a filling cracks, bacteria and oral fluids can infiltrate the space between the restoration and tooth, increasing the risk of recurrent decay, sensitivity, and deeper bacterial involvement.

After removing the compromised restoration and evaluating the remaining tooth structure, a crown was placed to restore strength, function, and protection.
Protecting the natural tooth and creating a healthy foundation is the ultimate goal. 🤍

This patient originally had her teeth treated in another country, but when she came to our office, Dr. Broughton looked beyond the symptoms and focused on the underlying cause.
