May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

While mental health and oral health may seem separate, they are actually more connected than many people realize. Stress and anxiety can often show up physically through symptoms such as:

🦷Teeth grinding
🦷Jaw clenching
🦷Headaches
🦷Tooth sensitivity when brushing or flossing
🦷Jaw soreness or tension

During stressful seasons of life, it can be easy for routines and self-care habits to fall to the side...including caring for your smile. Big news! May is National Dental Care Month - so of course we need to celebrate. 🦷

This month serves as a national reminder of just how important oral health is...not only for your smile, but for your overall health and well-being. Healthy dental habits can help prevent cavities, gum disease, bad breath, and even larger health concerns down the road.

To help keep your mouth healthy this month (and all year long), here are a few of our favorite pro-tips:
✅ Brush for a full two minutes, twice a day
✅ Floss daily (yes, daily!)
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Limit sugary snacks and drinks (big bacteria build-up in your enamel)
✅ Don't skip your dental cleanings and check-ups
✅ Replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months

We truly don't know where we would be without Lori on our team. Over the past six years, she has brought so much kindness, compassion, positivity, and care into our office.
