“I don’t want to be ‘good for being disabled.’ I want to be a good tennis player…period.”
That’s Kendra Herber and she is.
She’s ranked No. 1 in the World in Women’s Para Standing Tennis, in a sport she only started competing in after retiring from paratriathlon in 2024.
She trains hard and plays hard and we can’t wait to see her take the court again tomorrow during the IPSTA 500 tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center alongside the Cincinnati Open!
As she put it before Worlds this summer: let’s see what happens when someone has a big dream and a ton of people in her corner.
That’s the part we care about most. Kendra’s rise is what’s possible when you decide what you want and build the right team around it: coaches, family, teammates, and of course, the people who make sure the leg she’s competing on can handle everything she throws at it.
Go get ‘em, Kendra. We can’t wait to watch. 🎾
