Dear Valued Patients,
We hope you and your family are staying well during this unprecedented time. As we transition back to resuming preventive dental services to help our patients maintain their oral health, we want you to know that we are taking your safety seriously.
During the past several weeks, we have been following every applicable federal, state and local regulation to develop protocols and purchase protective equipment that will ensure everyone鈥檚 safety. We have always been committed to the highest standards of infection control and in line with that, we have taken the following several additional measures:
路 Equipping each patient room in our office with an individual medical grade air purification system that cleans and sterilizes the air indoor
Taking staff鈥檚 temperature as they arrive at the office every day
路 Scheduling fewer appointments to allow greater time between patients and maintain adequate social distancing
路 Removing some of the chairs in the reception area to maintain proper social distancing
路 Removing magazines, children鈥檚 books and toys in the waiting room
路 Screening patients before they come to their appointment, and taking everyone鈥檚 temperature when they come in
路 Asking our patients to use hand sanitizers and keep wearing their masks when they arrive at our office till they enter the treatment room
路 Asking every patient to rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash before any treatment
路 Limiting aerosols, and whenever aerosols are generated we are using dental dam isolation and high volume suction
路 Strictly following CDC鈥檚 up-to-date infection control recommendations, as we have always done , and making necessary changes as new updates become available
Patient Screening Prior to Dental Appointments:
In the Past 2-3 weeks:
1. Have you had fever, shortness of breath, cough, gastrointestinal upset, headache, fatigue, or loss of taste or smell?
2. Have you been in contact with anyone with COVID-19?
3. Have you traveled to any regions heavily affected by COVID-19?
