Even though soft tissue around incision sites heals in about 2 to 3 weeks after wisdom teeth removal, there is still a lot of healing under the surface. You may not feel pain or rawness at the surgery site anymore, but it may still take up to 6 weeks before the holes are gone, so don't be alarmed if you can still feel gaps!

Concerned about your young teen's teeth placement or impacted canines?
Normally, maxillary cuspid teeth erupt around age 13, closing any gaps between the upper front teeth. If a cuspid tooth becomes impacted, we make every effort to guide it into its proper position. This technique can be applied to any impacted tooth in the upper or lower jaw, but it's most commonly used for the upper cuspid (upper eye) teeth.

A frenectomy is a common oral procedure used to address tongue tie or lip tie in infants. Tongue tie (ankyloglossia) can hinder breastfeeding and speech development, while lip tie (a type of lip adhesion) may cause issues with speech and dental development. The procedure involves a quick snip of the frenum, the soft tissue connecting the lips and gums.
