Using this unique approach to patient care, we focus on open communication between the primary dentist, the specialists and the patient, including the patient in the process as a member of the team. Each specialist of the interdisciplinary team is selected based on their area of expertise and the desired outcomes for the patient. Open lines of communication are maintained to reduce stress and confusion for all members of the team, including the patient.

September is National Gum Care Month!

Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. While bleeding or swollen gums can be signs of a problem, gum disease can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms.

A few simple tips from our terrific hygiene team can make a big difference:

• Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush (preferably electric!)
• Clean between your teeth daily to remove bacteria and food
• Keep up with your regular dental cleanings and exams
• Let us know if you notice bleeding, swelling, tenderness, or changes in your gums
