Gentle Dental Center offers preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and emergency services to patients of all ages and will ensure you are comfortable every step of the way. Over the years, Dr. Coulter and her team have treated thousands of patients and created an environment that is welcoming, professional, and relaxing.

We are a little late but we celebrated Dental Hygienist Week by celebrating our incredible hygienist Tonya! Tonya’s dedication, gentle care, and attention to detail make all the difference for our patients. Whether she’s helping a nervous patient feel at ease, educating on the best home care routines, or providing a meticulous cleaning, she is essential to what we do. During her off time you will find her at a ballpark cheering on one of her four boys! We are so grateful for you Tonya! 👏

HAPPY TUESDAY! 🎉

We get a lot of phone calls concerning insurance. Just a reminder. We are IN NETWORK with the following plans.

DELTA DENTAL
CIGNA
HUMANA
Humana Medicare
BEAM

We can file almost all insurance as long as it is a PPO plan. This would be based on your out of network fee’s, which typically leaves you owing more out of pocket than if you seen a in network provider.

We DO NOT accept any Medicaid plans.

The office WILL BE CLOSED Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th. Depending on road conditions we hope to be open on Wednesday, the 28th. Someone will contact you when we return to the office to reschedule your appointment. Meet Dr. Shepherd

Dr. Shepherd joined our practice in 2023. Originally from Ashland Ky, he moved to Danville 4 years ago with his wife and two children. He graduated in 1993 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He has 26 years of dental experience in the military U.S. Public Health Service.

2025 is quickly coming to an end and our schedule is filling up fast!

A few helpful tips to maximize your benefits!

* Most insurance companies pay for two dental cleanings per calendar year. If you have only utilized one cleaning this year give us a call to use it before you lose it!

* Big treatment plans. If you have a big treatment plan that you put off such as a crown, bridge, implant, partial or denture you will want to use your benefits before they run out. Most insurance companies allow a dental maximum of $1000-$2000 per calendar year. If you do not use those benefits they are lost! This is money your insurance company gets to keep!

* No insurance? No problem! Give us a call and let us tell you about our annual in house plan we offer!
