Josh Herndon has been a patient at For You Dental in Addison for about four years now, everything from routine cleanings to finishing up Invisalign.

One of our hygienists took a patient's blood pressure at the start of a routine visit, and the numbers were considerably high.

She asked if he'd had a physical or seen his doctor recently. He hadn't, not in a few years. She checked again about ten minutes later. Still high. She told him he needed to see his physician right away.

A couple of months later, she found out he'd almost had a heart attack. He thanked her for being direct with him that day.

It's part of why we check blood pressure at every appointment. You never know what you might catch.
