Texas Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery services to the Dallas metropolitan area. Dr. Jim Bates founded the practice in 1987 following his extensive training. degree with honors from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, and a Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree with honors from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Dr. Bates completed a four-

year accredited residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, as well as an additional year of surgical training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
