We successfully saved this second molar for our 17-year-old patient, avoiding the need for extraction at such a young age.

The lesions completely healed within just six months. Retreatment was performed in two visits, utilizing the EdgePro laser to enhance irrigation and minimize post-operative pain.

Despite the infamous punchline, "I'd rather have a root canal," the procedure doesn't hurt! 📢🦷 It's not your grandma's root canal anymore -- advancements in technology and anesthesia make root canals feel no different than a filling.

Plus, endodontists have had two to three years of additional training after dental school to master relieving tooth pain comfortably and efficiently.

The goal of root canal is to eliminated the infection and promote healing.
In this case we were able to save both teeth snd get back the all bone back!
3 year recall
# 18 previously root canal treated and obturated with thermafils

# 19 previously treated with a separated instrument.

Although the lesions were extensive , our patient was motivated to try and save the teeth. So both teeth got retreated and obturated with BC sealer and gutta percha . We were able to remove the separated instrument as well.
3 years later lesions disappeared, no symptoms and both teeth are functional
