Sunday coffee somehow tastes better when there’s nowhere to rush off to. ☕

Enjoy it. Just remember that coffee can leave behind surface stains over time, especially if it’s an everyday habit. A simple glass of water afterward can help rinse your mouth and is an easy habit to add without giving up the drink you love.

New city. New commute. New grocery store. New favorite coffee place.

And eventually, a new dentist too.

Finding a dental practice before you actually need one makes life a lot easier. It gives you time to establish care, stay current with preventive visits and find a team you’re comfortable talking to. If Dallas is your new home, welcome. We’d love to meet you.

Look at your toothbrush. Go ahead. We’ll wait. 😄

Are the bristles still straight and tidy, or does it look like your toothbrush has been through a very difficult summer?

The ADA recommends replacing a toothbrush around every three to four months, or sooner when the bristles become visibly worn or frayed. Sometimes better oral care starts with a $5 reset. Check yours today. If it’s seen better days, add a new toothbrush to the weekend shopping list.

When people think about wellness, they often think about sleep, movement, nutrition or managing stress.

Oral health belongs in that conversation too. Healthy habits at home, regular dental visits and paying attention when something changes are all part of taking care of yourself for the long term. Since August is National Wellness Month, consider this your reminder that caring for yourself can include something as simple as finally scheduling that checkup.

What’s one healthy habit you’re working on this month? Tell us below or request an appointment if dental care is on your list.

Today is Women’s Equality Day, and we’re taking a moment to recognize the women who continue to learn, lead, care for others and make a difference in their communities every day.

We’re proud to see women represented throughout healthcare, dentistry, business, education and countless other fields, and we’re grateful for the women who have helped open doors for those who came after them. Here’s to continuing to move forward. 💛

Tag a woman whose work, strength or kindness deserves a little recognition today!

If we could choose three things for every patient to feel when they visit us, they would be comfortable, heard, and well cared for.

That’s the kind of dental experience we work to create every day at Dallas Dental Wellness.

Cold drink. Quick sip. Sudden zing. 😬

Sensitive teeth can happen for several reasons, including worn enamel, gum recession, cavities, cracks or worn fillings. That is why simply avoiding cold foods does not necessarily answer the bigger question.

If sensitivity is becoming frequent, let us know. Don't spend the rest of the summer avoiding ice water. Schedule a dental visit if sensitivity keeps bothering you.

Missed flossing last night? Had dessert? Forgot to pack your toothbrush?

Your oral care routine does not need to be perfect to be worthwhile. Get back to the basics today. Brush twice, clean between your teeth, drink water throughout the day and keep up with regular dental care.

Need a reset? Start with tonight's brushing and go from there. https://bit.ly/4ayMgY5

Brushing gets most of the attention, but your toothbrush cannot clean every surface of every tooth.

That is where floss or another between-the-teeth cleaner comes in. Think of it as reaching the places your toothbrush leaves behind. It only takes a small addition to your routine, but consistency matters more than perfection.

Haven't made flossing a habit yet? Start today. Your gums will appreciate the extra attention.
