Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!

Today let’s celebrate the excitement and wonder of kids losing their teeth! We would love to hear your experiences, or those of your kids, when a newly lost tooth was exchanged for a fun surprise under the pillow.

Leave us a comment below telling your story and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win one of these Tooth Fairy pouches (handmade by Dr. Walsh 🤩) so you can use it when that special occasion happens next!

Happy National Smile Power Day from all of us at ALLISON FOWLER, DDS!!

“A smile affects everything. It’s the first thing you do when you see somebody. I want you to be able to smile and say This is Me!” – Allison Fowler, DDS

June 15th is National Smile Power Day! We’d love to share some interesting facts about smiling, and ways you can celebrate the day with us.

3 Facts About Smiling:
1. According to experts, there are almost 20 different types of smiles, and smiling can use up to 43 different facial muscles.

2. Smiling is so good for your health! Smiling can reduce your stress levels; help your heart be healthier; lower your blood pressure; and decrease cortisol in your body, thereby boosting your immune system. Smiling can increase a person’s chances of living longer.

3. Smiling has been shown to make a person look younger and more confident.

Ways to Celebrate the Day:
• Give out smiles to everyone you come into contact with today. That will give the other person a morale boost, and urge them to pass it forward to someone else ahead.
• Use a smiley face emoji in every text that you send out. It helps you reduce stress and also boosts the confidence of the person you’re sending the text to.
• Do as many random acts of kindness as possible. They will bring a smile to your face and also bring cheer to the people you’re doing the act of kindness for.
• Tell people jokes and try to get them to smile.
• Make a list of things that make you happy.

You should never underestimate the power of a smile! It helps people to share peace, affection, and even hope. Here at Allison Fowler, DDS, we want to help you be proud of your smile!

I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Lindsey Walsh to our practice! Dr. Walsh and I have known each other since 2009 when we attended dental school together. She will be at our office two days a week.

Over the years we have found that we have similar treatment philosophies, hinging on building relationships with our patients and providing high quality dentistry.

Our office has grown in the last two years, and many of you have noticed that it could be a few months before you can schedule an appointment for certain types of treatment. While your willingness to wait to see me is humbling because it shows how much you value my treatment, I want to better serve you. Having Dr. Walsh with us will open up our schedule so that you can be treated sooner.

Originally from Fayetteville, AR, Dr. Walsh graduated from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry with me in 2013. Dr. Walsh became a dentist because she is truly passionate about helping patients achieve their best health and she loves to work with her hands to create beautiful smiles through artistry and science. Dr. Walsh's husband, Ryan, is an endodontist in Keller, TX, where they live with their three daughters and two dogs. In her spare time, she is either cheering on her Razorbacks, gardening, traveling, or making crafts with her kids.

Dr. Walsh and I are very excited to work together to better care for you!

Say hello to our future new home!

We are moving to Woodhill Medical Park at the end of this year. It’s only 10 minutes away from our current office and it has much better parking. We still have a LOT of work to do before we move, so stay tuned for updates!
