Every filling irritates the nerve: drilling, etching, bonding. When that inflammation doesn't settle, a simple filling can become a root canal.

My protocol: ozone gas + laser therapy (photobiomodulation) before the filling goes in. Together they calm the nerve and support repair, lowering your chances of needing a root canal.

Getting a filling soon? Ask your dentist about it. 🦷

I get asked this a lot, and I understand why it feels that way. Most likely, though, it's not your dentist's fault.

A cavity is a pile of bacteria already sitting on your tooth, quietly irritating the nerve with toxins. It's low-grade, so you don't feel it.

Removing that decay has to happen, but the drilling and the filling material add a little more irritation. Some nerves can handle it. Some can't, and they become inflamed beyond the point of healing.

When that happens, a root canal is the way to remove that angry nerve and get you out of pain.

It's not anyone's fault. It's part of the process, and we're fortunate to have a solution. πŸ’›

My 10-year-old never asks me for money. She asks how she can earn it. 🍌

This time, Violet picked banana bread. She did every step herself, from peeling to baking to mopping the floor and washing the dishes. The hardest part for me was letting her get it wrong, and trusting she'd make it right.

That's a big part of why I love cooking. It teaches you to plan, strategize, improvise, and keep going until it's right. Even with a recipe, it won't always turn out perfect the first time. Experience is everything.

These skills have helped me so much in my life. I hope they'll help her too. 🀍

Matcha latte, step by step. 🍡

Full recipe in the video, start to finish. It's easy, it looks as good as it tastes, and my whole team is hooked. Watch to the end to see their reactions. πŸ˜„

And if you're trying to cut back on the sodas and extra coffees, this is a great swap. πŸ™Œ

Save this so you have the recipe when you're ready to make it, and tell me: do you drink your matcha hot or iced? πŸ‘‡

Eating breakfast before brushing? You're basically swallowing bacteria waste. 🀒

Gross, I know β€” and most people do this every single day without realizing it. Overnight, bacteria multiply in your mouth and excrete waste (that's literally what plaque is). Brush after eating, and you've just swallowed it straight into your gut.

Here's the actual right way to do it: quick brush (no toothpaste needed) right when you wake up, eat breakfast, wait 30 minutes so your enamel can remineralize, then brush again.

Brush. Eat. Wait. Brush. Try it tomorrow β€” tag me if you actually remember all four steps. πŸ˜‚

An 8-year-old skateboards, face-plants, breaks his front teeth, slices his lip open. Most dentists send that straight to the hospital. I didn't. 🦷

Friday night β€” scared kid, blood everywhere, broken teeth, a deep laceration. The standard protocol would've been sedation, stitches, antibiotics. But putting an already-terrified kid under in a hospital? That's trauma on top of trauma. And those teeth? Most dentists jump straight to root canals just to be safe.

I chose to trust his body instead. Laser and ozone on the teeth. Laser on the lip instead of stitches. Silver gel instead of antibiotics.

Six months later β€” healed beautifully. No root canal. No hospital. No trauma stacked on trauma.

But honestly? The biggest win wasn't the teeth. He trusted me the whole way through β€” and that's how you stop a kid from growing into an adult who's terrified of the dentist. 🌿

I didn't know black and red jujubes are the same fruit! 🀯

Turns out it all comes down to one thing after harvest: how it's dried. Red jujube is just sun-dried, straight up. Black jujube is that same red one, steamed until it transforms β€” color, texture, everything changes. And steaming doesn't ruin the nutrition, it actually boosts the antioxidants even higher, plus breaks down the sugars for a richer, caramel-like sweetness.

Red nourishes blood and boosts immunity. Black goes deeper β€” warms the body, supports digestion. Same fruit, two different jobs.

Both are ridiculously easy to make at home, and way cleaner than most store-bought versions loaded with pesticides. Red or black β€” which are you team? πŸ‘‡
