Please Help Us Welcome Dr. Jack Weber!

You may have seen Dr. Jack Weber around our office over the past year, and now we’re making it official! We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Weber as a permanent member of our dental family.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Weber graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
For Dr. Weber, dentistry is truly a family tradition. His grandfather, Dr. Richard Weber Sr., was a long-time oral surgeon in the St. Louis area, and his uncles are currently local oral surgeons. His father and sister are general dentists practicing in Ellisville.
Dr. Weber loves getting to know his patients and believes every visit should be comfortable, personalized, and stress-free. He is dedicated to providing exceptional care while building lasting relationships with the patients he serves. His approach to dentistry and commitment to patient care align perfectly with the values we have built at Hesker Dental, and we are confident he will be a wonderful addition to our practice.
Outside the office, Dr. Weber enjoys staying active with pickleball, tennis, and bowling.
Join us in giving Dr. Jack Weber a warm welcome! We are excited to have him as a part of our team and look forward to introducing him to our wonderful patients.

Did you know? Cannabis Use Can Affect Dental Anesthesia.

If you use ma*****na (smoke, v**e or consume edibles) it’s important to let your dental team know before your appointment.

Research suggests that regular cannabis use may:

**Make local anesthetics less effective, meaning you may require additional numbing medication to stay comfortable during your procedure.
**Cause the numbing medication to wear off more quickly.
**Increase heart rate and anxiety, which can affect how we monitor and manage your care.

For the safest and most comfortable experience, many healthcare professionals recommend avoiding cannabis for at least 72 hours before your dental appointment when possible.

❤️Always be honest with your dental team. Everything you share is confidential and helps us provide the safest, most effective care tailored to your needs.❤️

Your comfort and safety are always our top priority! If you have questions about medications, cannabis use, or your upcoming dental procedure, don’t hesitate to give our office a call, we’re happy to help!

Better late than never... we just had to share this! 😂🦷

A days ago, one of our incredible patients surprised Dr. Hesker with the most perfect birthday gift, and it's safe to say they absolutely nailed it! 🤣

If you've ever met Dr. Hesker, you know he's always keeping the office laughing with his goofy personality and quick sense of humor. So what better gift than a classic Three Stooges print to hang in the office? We don't think it could be more fitting! 😄

It's thoughtful gestures like this that remind us how lucky we are to have such amazing patients. Thank you for making Dr. Hesker's birthday extra special and for knowing him so well!

We think this masterpiece has found its forever home at Hesker Dental! ❤️🦷

🦷 At Hesker Dental, your oral health is about more than just a “cleaning.”
Periodontal (gum) disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. According to the American Dental Association, this condition can progress without noticeable pain, making early diagnosis and proper treatment essential.
Dr. Mark Hesker and Dr. Nicholas Marino focus on diagnosing and treating gum disease based on your individual needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
What’s the difference between regular cleaning (prophylaxis) and periodontal maintenance?
✔️ Prophylaxis (Regular Cleaning):
For patients with healthy gums or mild gingivitis and normal periodontal pockets. This type of cleaning removes plaque, tartar, and surface stains above the gumline to help prevent disease.
✔️ Periodontal Maintenance:
For patients diagnosed with periodontal disease. This specialized treatment goes deeper—removing bacteria below the gumline, managing infection, and helping prevent further bone and tooth loss. Typically performed after Scaling and Root Planing treatment has been completed and recommended every 3–4 months to maintain periodontal stability.
🚫 Important to know - periodontal maintenance is not a “regular cleaning.” Ongoing therapy is required to control a diagnosed periodontal condition.
At Hesker Dental, we believe in education, prevention, and personalized care to help you keep your smile healthy for life.
If you have questions about your gum health or treatment plan, our team is always here to help! 🦷
