PHASE 1: EARLY INTERVENTION ✨

Around ages 6–10, the jaws are still growing—giving us a unique window to guide growth, create space for permanent teeth, correct developing bite problems, and set the stage for a healthier smile.

For Bradley, treatment focused only on the upper arch, using a rapid palatal expander to widen his narrow upper jaw and correct his crossbite. 🙌🏼

Luca officially finished his Invisalign journey, and WOW — check out that smile! 🙌🏼✨

One of our biggest goals for Luca was to broaden his very narrow smile. Take a look at his before photos and notice the dark corners along the sides of his smile 👀 — now look at how beautifully that space has filled in!

Using the Invisalign Palatal Expander, we were able to create more width and set the stage for a broader, fuller smile — with no brackets or wires! 🙌🏼

Posterior crossbites are one of the reasons early orthodontic evaluations can be so important. An expander can help widen the upper jaw while a child is still growing — before the palatal suture (the bones in the roof of the mouth) becomes more mature around puberty.

Early expansion can do so much more than just “make room” for teeth. It can:
🦷Correct crossbites that may contribute to facial asymmetry
🦷 Create space for developing permanent teeth and potentially reduce the need for extractions later
🦷 Help redirect permanent teeth that are erupting off course
🦷 Resolve crowding and broaden the smile
🦷 Address certain jaw-width problems early that may be more difficult to correct after growth

The best time to have your child evaluated for an expander is typically between ages 7–10.

Early treatment isn’t about putting braces on every child sooner — it’s about recognizing the problems that are best corrected while they’re still growing.
