Each February, Dr. Laurie Fricke has the privilege to organize Children’s Dental Health Month for the Northlake Dental Association, a part of the American Dental Association. The event includes local lower grade students who craft together posters displaying a theme that demonstrates good oral health care.

This years theme is “Sealants Make Sense.” Molars have grooves and pits. Because molars are “groovy,” placing sealants is a great way to help to prevent cavities. Sealants on permanent molars reduce the risk of cavities by 80%.

Developing good oral habits at an early age helps children to get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth.

Below you will see some very creative ways of sealants making sense!
