Front Desk Receptionist Job Description
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, clients, or visitors. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing phone calls and appointments, and supporting daily administrative operations to ensure smooth front office function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome visitors or patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer, screen, and direct phone calls promptly
• Schedule and confirm appointments or meetings
• Maintain and update patient/client records and files accurately
• Check in and check out patients or visitors, verifying and updating personal information
• Collect payments, copays, or deposits as needed and issue receipts
• Handle mail, packages, and deliveries
• Maintain the reception area’s cleanliness and organization
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, and data entry
• Ensure confidentiality of all personal and business information
• Provide general office support and assist with special projects as needed

• Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)

• High school diploma or equivalent (some offices may prefer administrative or office experience)
