Dear Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has endured such adversity over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to gradually resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, our commitment to your safety has remained the same.
Infection Control has always been a top priority at our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.
There has never been a more important time to address chronic inflammation. The healthier the immune system, the more effectively the body can fight other infectious challenges, including viral attacks. Nu Smile Dental Center is committed to your oral health during this pandemic. We are taking all necessary precautions to implement a safe environment for treating our patients.
According to emerging studies, there are several steps that can lessen the intensity of Covid-19.
Daily research is done on articles provided by the American Dental Association and other dental resources for adequate preparedness for your safety and well-being. Staying updated is greatly important.
1) We have a system of Perio Protect, of which several of our patients are presently using, and has been recommended to reduce the risk of oral transmission of SARS-CoV-2 with hydrogen peroxide. This aids patients with delayed care to better manage inflammation. Perio Protect home care relies on hydrogen peroxide to reduce gingival bleeding and inflammation, decreasing the burden on patients' immune system.
2) Improving sleep quality and getting at least 6 hours of sleep nightly. We can help you monitor/check your sleep pattern through a sleep test and provide you with options such as C-pap or dental appliance for sleep apnea.
3) We can provide you with a mouth rinse we carry in our office that has been recommended for mouthwash rinsing. It works quickly and efficiently to kill viruses without staining teeth.
4) We provide Corona Virus testing at our facility at a nominal fee of $50.
5) Waterline in the office is continuously checked and quality monitored.
6) Whole office air disinfection and filtering (maintaining the air quality of the office through ionization).
7) Our office has operatory doors that close when treatment is done and will open once the room is decontaminated with hypochlorous spray (super oxidized water spray).
8) Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will be asked these same questions again when you are in the office.
9) Tele-dentistry is offered for dental patients via Zoom and FaceTime. Invisalign patients can download the Invisalign app to check their progress at home.
10) We will no longer have magazines in the waiting room and we ask patients to spray the bottom of their shoes upon entering the office. Hand sanitizer will be provided and necessary (located at the reception area and various counters).
11) We offer appointments through lunch hours (11 am-2 pm) for the convenience to your work schedule. Extended and early appointments will be arranged upon request.
12) Appointments will be tightly managed to allow a greater period of time between patients. This reduces your waiting time, as well as the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We look forward to welcoming you back and serving your dental needs.
