Why Trans Palatal Arches (T.P.A.) are so important and how they can be your enemy or your friend.

The T.P.A., once placed, does not allow for the molar teeth to rotate, tip or change torque values individually. If initial positioning of the molars is not ideal, then all subsequent arch wires will conform to the non-Ideal position of the molars affecting other teeth positions in 3 dimensions.
