The first question I ask in an interview isn't about experience.

It's about WHY. Why dentistry? Why this field? What brought you here?

Most people are looking for a paycheck. That's fine, but it's not enough for our team. We want people who are interested in connecting with patients. People who can talk to you, explain what we offer, and make your visit feel like more than just an appointment.

Experience matters, but we can teach skills. We can't teach someone to care about the work.

When you come in, the person greeting you at the front desk, the assistant next to you in the chair, the hygienist cleaning your teeth, they're here because they want to be. That shows up in how they treat you.

Come see the difference. Call 503-359-0339.

You should never walk out of a dental office unsure of what just happened. 💛

At Cornelius Dental, we slow everything down. Before any treatment, we sit with you and walk through what's going on, what to expect, and why it matters. No rushed explanations. No clinical jargon you'll have to Google in the parking lot. Just clear, honest conversation in language that actually makes sense.

Because feeling informed isn't a bonus. It's part of good care.

When you understand what's happening with your teeth, you can make confident decisions about your health. You can ask better questions. You can leave your appointment knowing exactly what we did, what comes next, and why every step was the right one for you.

You deserve a dental team that treats you like a partner, not a patient on a clipboard.

Ready to experience dentistry that actually explains itself?

Call us at 503-359-0339 to schedule your visit.

A patient came to us after getting dentures made somewhere else. She wasn't happy with them. The fit was off, they were uncomfortable, and they didn't look the way she expected.

She went back to the original office, got a refund, and came to us for a fresh start.

We made her a new set, and the difference was night and day. A bad first experience with dentures doesn't mean you're stuck with it.

If your dentures don't fit well, or they look nothing like your original teeth, that's not something you have to live with. There are options, and sometimes a second pair made by a different team is all it takes.

Unhappy with your current dentures? Call 503-359-0339.

There's a moment in dentistry that doesn't show up on a chart. It's the moment care stops being a service and becomes something more.

A commitment.

We've watched it happen here for years. A new patient walks in, often hesitant, maybe carrying old fears. We listen. We slow down. We earn their trust one visit at a time.

Then something shifts. They bring their spouse. Their kids. Their grandkids.

Some of our patients have been with us through cancer, through loss, through weddings and new babies. We've watched children who barely fit in the chair come back as adults with families of their own.

That's what care turning into commitment really means. It's not a transaction. It's a relationship that grows roots in this community and stays there.

Dr. Rowley and our team built this practice on something simple. We care about the people in our chairs, not just their teeth. And when you feel that visit after visit, year after year, something beautiful happens. You stop being a patient. You become part of the story. ❤️

Dental work can be expensive. I get it.

If you've been avoiding the dentist because you're not sure what it's going to cost, come talk to us. We'll be straight with you about what you need, and then we'll walk you through the options.

You don't have to do everything at once. If we can get you in for a cleaning, that's progress. If we can take care of the tooth that's been bothering you most, that's a win.

One thing at a time is fine.

My team works hard to find payment plans that make sense for real budgets. We're looking into options that work even if your credit isn't perfect, because we know that's the reality for a lot of people.

The hardest part is picking up the phone. After that, we'll figure it out together.

Calm. Clear. Steady. That's how treatment should feel.

Being thorough doesn't mean being slow. It means taking the time to explain what's happening, why it matters, and what comes next. No rushing. No pressure. No surprises.

We believe comfort and efficiency belong together. When we plan carefully and communicate openly, your care moves at a pace that feels right for you, while still making real progress toward a healthier smile.

For patients who have put off dental work because the thought of it feels too big, this approach changes everything. A treatment plan stops feeling like a mountain and starts feeling like a path forward, one step at a time.

You deserve a space where your care feels steady, not stressful. Where the goal is your well-being, not the clock.

That's the kind of dentistry we practice every day on Baseline between 9th and 10th Ave in Cornelius.

A patient came in recently who'd had braces years ago. She had a fixed retainer bonded behind her front teeth to keep everything in place. It was doing the opposite.

Her bite had shifted back open. She could fit two fingers between her front teeth when she bit down. She knew about the bite, but what she didn't know was what was happening underneath.

When we took the x-ray, every single one of her front teeth had cavities between them.

All of them. Right where the retainer was bonded.

Fixed retainers are hard to clean. You have to thread floss underneath the wire, and most people don't do that consistently. The space between the retainer and the tooth becomes a perfect spot for decay to build up where you can't see it.

We had to drill the retainer off and fill all of her front teeth. Then we talked about a better option going forward. A clear aligner retainer that she can take out to brush and floss, and put back in. Simple.

If you've got a fixed retainer that's hard to keep clean, it's worth having a conversation about alternatives.

Life doesn't slow down for dental appointments. We get it. 💛

Between school drop-offs, work deadlines, soccer practice, and the curveballs that show up out of nowhere, finding time for yourself can feel impossible. That's why we don't ask you to rearrange your whole world just to take care of your smile.

At Cornelius Dental, we work around your schedule, not the other way around. Early mornings, lunch breaks, after-school slots, last minute shifts. Whatever your week looks like, we'll help you find a time that actually fits.

Because caring for your teeth shouldn't add stress to your life. It should feel like one more thing your family is supported in.

If you've been told you need gum surgery and a referral to a periodontist, I want you to know there's another option worth exploring first.

We use our Solea laser to treat deep periodontal pockets right here in our Cornelius office. The laser goes down into those pockets with a specialized attachment, cleans out the bacteria, and cauterizes as it works. It stops the bleeding and helps with healing at the same time.

Traditional gum surgery involves cutting the tissue, folding it back, and suturing it closed.

The recovery from that is significant. With the laser, there's no scalpel, no sutures, and the healing is dramatically easier. Patients tell us it's more comfortable than a regular cleaning.

There's also the cost. Periodontal surgery at a specialist's office can run anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. Treatment here is significantly less than that, and you're with a team you already know in an office you're already comfortable in.

If you've got pockets that aren't improving with cleanings, let's talk about what the laser can do.

Pregnancy changes so much about your body, and your gums are no exception.

During pregnancy, your mouth becomes more sensitive and more vulnerable to inflammation. Gum infections don't just stay in your mouth either. Research has connected untreated gum disease during pregnancy to increased risks of premature birth and low birth weight. That's not meant to scare you. It's meant to make sure you know.

You are already carrying so much. But this is one area where a little extra attention can
really matter, for you and for your baby.

If you're pregnant or planning to be, come see us. We'll keep a close eye on your gum health and make sure your mouth is as supported as the rest of you. You're doing so much. We'll help take care of this part. 🤍

If you grind your teeth at night, your dentist has probably told you to get a night guard. And that's good advice.

But grinding is a symptom. Your teeth are taking the impact, but the real issue is often your bite. When your teeth don't line up properly, certain ones absorb more force than they should. Over time, that wears them down, damages the ligaments, and can lead to bone loss.

A night guard protects the surface of your teeth. Clear aligners address the alignment causing the problem in the first place. That's a meaningful difference.

One of our patients, a 66-year-old man, had been grinding for decades. His front teeth were worn so far down that his bite had collapsed. We started him on clear aligners to get everything aligned before restoring his front teeth with crowns. If he'd been able to do this 30 years ago, the crowns probably wouldn't be necessary.

You don't have to wait until the damage is that advanced. If you're grinding and your bite is off, fixing the alignment now is one of the most conservative things we can do.

Let's talk about what's going on. Call 503-359-0339

You've probably been flossing wrong your whole life. And honestly? So had most of us.

Most people use a sawing motion, snapping the floss down between their teeth and calling it done. But that misses the whole point. What you actually want is to curve the floss into a "C" shape around each tooth and slide it gently beneath the gumline. That's where the bacteria you can't see are hiding.

One small adjustment. Real difference in how your gums feel, how fresh your breath is, how healthy your mouth stays over time.

If you ever wonder whether you're doing something right, just ask us at your next visit.

No judgment. We genuinely love the little stuff like this. 😊
