🔷 Treatment approach:

Comprehensive orthodontic treatment was used to align and coordinate both arches while creating adequate space for the displaced upper canines. Careful space management allowed the crowded teeth to be brought into proper alignment without extractions while maintaining a balanced Class I occlusion.

Diagnosis:
• Pseudo Class III malocclusion
• Anterior crossbite
• Slight open bite on the right side
• Mild crowding

Treatment:
Comprehensive orthodontic treatment was completed to correct the anterior crossbite, align the arches, and improve the overall occlusion. Elastics were used for vertical control and bite closure, specifically helping correct the open bite on the right side.

🔹 Treatment approach:

Maxillary expansion was used to correct the transverse deficiency and create the space needed to resolve the upper midline diastema. Comprehensive orthodontic treatment then aligned both arches while correcting the deep bite and achieving proper canine guidance.

✨ Outcome:

A coordinated arch form, corrected bite, closure of the upper midline diastema, and improved smile esthetics were achieved while maintaining a stable Class I occlusion.

🦷 CASE EXPLANATION

➡️ Class II malocclusion with anterior open bite
➡️ Maxillary constriction with posterior crossbite
➡️ Moderate to severe upper and lower crowding
➡️ Upper and lower lip incompetence with a flat profile
➡️ Patient preferred a non-extraction approach

🔹 Treatment approach:

An RPE (Rapid Palatal Expander) was used to correct the maxillary constriction and posterior crossbite. Vertical Class II elastics (rubber bands) together with anterior box elastics were then used to close the open bite and improve the bite relationship, allowing alignment of both arches without extractions.

✨ Outcome:

A functional bite and balanced smile were achieved while maintaining facial support and honoring the patient’s desire to avoid extractions.

🔹Treatment approach:
Rather than altering an already ideal bite, Class II elastics (rubber bands) were used to retract the upper teeth while creating the space needed to align the lower arch.

✨Outcome:
A balanced smile and ideal occlusion were maintained without compromising an already favorable jaw relationship.
