South Gables Dental Welcome to your Coral Gables dentist! Dr. Lawrence M. Emergency appointments available. Dr. Lawrence Lesperance was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida.

Lesperance & associates provide high quality family dentistry with the most modern techniques and materials in your own backyard. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School, and then from Brown University, earning his B.A. in Biology. Afterwards, he obtained his dental degree from Emory University. He is one of the few dentists in the area who offer CEREC 1-visit porcelain crowns. He also

has the iTero element digital scanner for Invisalign, nightguards, crowns and bridges. Neither of these technologies requires any physical impressions! Goodbye goop! He also stays current with cutting-edge dentistry by attending continuing education courses every year. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, South Florida District Dental Association, Riviera Dental Study Club, and the Miami Comprehensive Team Approach Study Club.

A new patient came in after several years without a cleaning. There was a significant buildup of Tartar or Calculus above and below their gums. Tartar harbors bacteria which produces acid. The acid triggers inflammation of the gums, leading to periodontitis (gum disease), bone loss, gum recession, bleeding, and eventually tooth mobility if untreated. Fortunately after several visits of deep cleanings with scaling and root planing, the patient’s gums were brought back to health and the bone loss was stopped.

Our patient unfortunately bit into a fork and fractured his front tooth. Before restoring his tooth with an esthetic tooth-colored composite resin, we cleaned and whitened all of his teeth and we were able to give him a more attractive smile.

☀️Florida State Day Celebrations☀️

Did you know that South Gables Dental is a mission-driven practice? Dr. Lawrence Lesperance donates his time to treating patients of the non-profit St. John Bosco Clinic, which provides free healthcare to uninsured and underserved residents of Miami-Dade County. This Saturday, April 11, the SSJ Health Foundation (the clinic’s fundraising arm) is the nonprofit beneficiary of the inaugural PASCUA FLORIDA DAY celebrations! You and your family are invited to the event to commemorate how Florida was named this Saturday at the Plaza in Coral Gables. Highlights include a proclamation from the city, a singer for the Florida state anthem, artists, raffle (including a donation of a free teeth whitening!), and Chupinazo, followed by an afternoon of exploration with a fun activity: A Passport To The Plaza - Restaurant Crawl. Dr. Lesperance hopes to see you there!
