🎉 We're thrilled to announce that Jaclyn Smollett, DMD, MS will be joining our team as our in-house Periodontist!

A North Carolina native, Dr. Smollett brings a unique background to periodontics, having worked as both a dental assistant and registered dental hygienist before earning her dental degree and completing her specialty training in Periodontology at UNC Chapel Hill.

She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthier smiles through advanced periodontal and implant care, including dental implants, gum grafting, and periodontal disease treatment. When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and enjoying the North Carolina coast.

📍 Dr. Smollett sees patients at Porters Neck Monday through Wednesday and at Southport Crossing on Thursdays and every other Friday.

Originally from India and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University. Inspired to pursue dentistry while in college, he has built a career focused on helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized care.

With advanced training in implant surgery and a passion for comprehensive dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys restoring smiles, improving oral health, and educating patients on preventive care.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Ehlers is passionate about helping children have positive, fear-free dental experiences. He specializes in pediatric dentistry, including tongue- and lip-tie treatment, restorative care, and dental treatment for children with special needs.

When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Ehlers enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, reading, teaching science, and family movie nights. Plus, he's fluent in Spanish!
