Wendy- Dental Hygienist

Hey! I'm Wendy. I've been a dental hygienist since 2016 and with Lockney Dental since 2019!

I DID NOT have perfect teeth as a young person. I was always very cavity prone as a child and spent a lot of time in the dental chair. In fact, that's what led me to dental hygiene! When I returned to get caught up on my dental work as a young adult, I was really intrigued by the process and motivated to get back on track and prevent this from happening again. I started researching how to become a dental hygienist(on my phone, haha) while I was SITTING in a dental chair as a patient. I realized hygiene really spoke to me and would be something I enjoyed and I wanted to help other people prevent and manage the stress that can be associated with dental work.

I enjoy answering ALL questions about proper cleaning techniques, how to prevent cavities, whitening and how to treat (and prevent) periodontal disease! I feel like explaining the whole process, breaking down what we are doing and the reason why we are doing it is so important. If you know WHY something is recommended, then it makes more sense and we understand the importance of getting treatment done before it gets worse.

I look forward to catching up with my current patients and meeting my future ones!
