Sterilization Technician / Dental Assistant I

🦷 WHAT YOU’LL DO
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sterilization area
Properly clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments
Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office sterilization protocols
Turn over and prepare treatment rooms
Assist the clinical team as needed
Help maintain a smooth and efficient clinical workflow
Stock operatories and dental supplies
Provide excellent support to our doctors, hygienists, assistants, and patients
Jump in wherever needed — we are a TEAM!

💗 A little goodbye for now… 💗

As I get ready to step away from CCFD to welcome my second baby girl, I have so many emotions. I’m so excited to meet our sweet girl and start this next chapter with my family, but leaving CCFD is definitely bittersweet.

Thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, laughing with me, and most of all, for sharing pieces of your lives with me. I’ve loved hearing your stories, hearing about your families, your goals, and all of the amazing things you’ve accomplished. Those conversations and little moments have meant more to me than you probably realize. Thank you for making me feel at home and for making coming to work something I truly enjoyed. I’m going to miss the laughs, the craziness, the conversations, and all of you more than I can say. To all of our patients, thank you for trusting me and allowing me to be part of your lives. It has been such a privilege getting to know so many of you over the years. 🩷

For now, I’m going to soak up this time, enjoy all the baby snuggles, and get ready to meet our newest little girl. 🎀👶🏼

🦷 Did You Know Your pH Levels Can Affect Your Teeth? 🦷

Your mouth has a natural pH balance, and keeping it in a healthy range is important for protecting your smile!

When the pH in your mouth becomes too acidic, it can weaken the enamel that protects your teeth. Acidic foods and drinks—such as soda, sports drinks, citrus fruits, and candy—can lower your mouth’s pH. Over time, frequent acid exposure can contribute to enamel erosion, tooth sensitivity, and an increased risk of cavities.

💧 How can you help protect your enamel?
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day
• Limit frequent sipping on acidic drinks
• Rinse your mouth with water after acidic foods or beverages
• Wait about 30 minutes before brushing after acidic foods or drinks
• Keep up with regular dental cleanings and check-ups

Remember, your enamel is your teeth’s first line of defense! Taking small steps to maintain a healthy oral environment can help keep your smile strong and healthy. 💙🦷
