Dental Assistant, Registered - Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry
Wage: $23-$25/hr
About the Role
Join a practice built on excellent patient care, strong teamwork, and a culture that supports every member of the team. This role is central to the patient experience, and thrives on collaboration with doctors and staff to deliver a consistently positive visit for every patient.
Responsibilities
• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic and pediatric dentistry procedures
• Assist the orthodontist and pediatric dentist in assessing patients and implementing treatment plans
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including adjusting orthodontic gear
Qualifications
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with valid registration
• 6+ months of experience as an orthodontic assistant
• CPR or BLS certification
• Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology

At Colville Pediatric Dentistry, we're a local pediatric dental practice that believes going to the dentist should be a positive experience for kids and their families.

We're looking for a Registered Dental Assistant who is kind, dependable, enjoys working with children, and wants to be part of a supportive team where people genuinely enjoy working together.

Don't have pediatric dental experience? That's okay! We provide on-the-job training. We're happy to help the right person learn how we care for our young patients and become comfortable and confident working in a pediatric dental setting.

What You'll Be Doing
As an important part of our clinical team, you'll work alongside our doctors and team members to help make each child's visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Your day may include:
Welcoming children and their families and helping them feel comfortable in our office
Assisting the doctor chairside during exams and treatment
Taking dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
Preparing treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
Sterilizing instruments and following infection-control procedures
Charting and maintaining accurate patient records
Supporting and communicating with parents throughout their child's visit
Pitching in with the team to keep the day running smoothly

What We're Looking For
Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential/registration
Current CPR or BLS certification
A warm, friendly, and patient personality
Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children
Dependable and willing to be part of a team
Good communication and organizational skills
A willingness to learn and grow

Pediatric dental experience is welcome, but it is not required. We provide on-the-job training and will help you learn our approach to caring for children and families.
