Behind every smooth-running dental office is someone making sure everything actually works... and for us, that's Sheldon.

From the earliest planning meetings to demolition, construction, moving week, and now keeping our new office running day to day, Sheldon has been there every step of the way. There were definitely a few moments during the remodel (especially standing in what would become Rooms 1 and 2, wondering what we'd gotten ourselves into!) when this project felt a little overwhelming, but somehow he always found a way to keep things moving.

He's the person behind countless repairs you never notice because they're already fixed before you have to think about them. Even his family came to help during moving week, making a stressful week a lot more fun, and fittingly, he became the very first patient in our new office.

Sheldon, thank you for everything you've done to help make Broadway Dental what it is today. We truly couldn't have done this without you!

And if you see him around the office or the building, be sure to say hello... and maybe ask how many trips to the roof this remodel required. (We're pretty sure he's earned a lifetime exemption.) 😄🔧🦷

Happy Birthday to Dr. Kelly! 🎉

If you've visited Broadway Dental over the years, there's a good chance you've seen Dr. Kelly. Although he's officially retired from his practice in Marshall, he still steps in to care for patients whenever one of our dentists is traveling or we need an extra helping hand.

He's also one of the unsung heroes of our recent move! Alongside his wife, Andi, he spent moving week tackling whatever we needed, including hanging nearly every photo you see throughout the office. So if you've admired the dental dog photos in our restrooms, you have Dr. Kelly and Andi to thank!

We're so grateful for everything he does. Help us wish Dr. Kelly a very happy birthday! 🎂🎈

Family visits are always something special! 🦷❤️

Last week, Dr. Ressel welcomed his brother and niece, who were visiting all the way from Germany. It was a joy to catch up, and even better to help keep their smiles healthy while they were here.

Like last year, his niece earned an ice cream after her dental visit. This year, we figured Dr. Ressel's brother deserved a beer for being such a great patient too! 🍦🍺

Between dental visits, Dr. Ressel gave them a taste of Missouri, including kayaking with college friends and sharing a few of his favorite local adventures.

We loved having Dr. Ressel’s family back in the office! 🇩🇪😁

Turns out dentistry has been around a little longer than we thought... about 59,000 years longer! 🦷⛏️

Researchers recently found evidence that Neanderthals may have used a sharpened stone tool to treat a painful tooth. While we're impressed by the ingenuity, we're also pretty thankful today's dentistry looks a little different.

At Broadway Dental, you'll find more modern technology, exceptionally gentle care, and a team focused on making your visit as comfortable as possible.

Ten years ago, Dr. Bohon took a chance on a young dentist with a fresh diploma and big ideas. He welcomed Dr. Ressel as his associate, but over the years, he became so much more than a colleague. He became a mentor, teacher, sounding board, and friend.

For the last decade, Dr. Bohon never just taught dentistry - he taught what it means to build relationships, earn trust, and truly care for a community.

Now, as Dr. Bohon enters retirement from General Dentistry, it feels especially meaningful to look back on where it all started. The practice he built over nearly five decades is being entrusted to someone he helped shape from the very beginning.

Ten years later, we're celebrating more than an anniversary. We're celebrating a mentorship, a friendship, and a legacy that will continue at Broadway Dental for years to come.

Thank you, Dr. Bohon, for taking a chance on the new guy. We think he's pretty great 😜

This weekend, we gathered to celebrate Dr. Bohon's retirement from family dentistry after 🦷 48 years 🦷 and the legacy he has built at Broadway Dental. We were honored to be joined by longtime team members, colleagues, family, and friends who have been part of his journey.

As you can see from the photos, we laughed our way through decades of staff Halloween photos and stories that had the room roaring (and occasionally tearing up). Do you also spot the photo of some of Broadway Dental's past and present dentists laughing together? That's true Dr. Bohon style, and the evening was a wonderful reminder that Dr. Bohon's greatest accomplishment isn't just the practice he built—it's the relationships he created along the way.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the patients, family members, friends, and community members who shared stories, photos, and memories for Dr. Bohon's retirement book. Your kind words painted a beautiful picture of the impact he has had on so many lives.

After 48 years of caring for patients and serving our community, Dr. Bohon is retiring from General Dentistry. 💙

It's hard to put into words the impact he has had on Broadway Dental and the thousands of patients and families he has cared for over the years. For many, he has been more than a dentist—he has been a familiar face, a trusted friend, and part of your family's story.

While he's retiring from his regular schedule, this isn't quite goodbye—you'll still see Dr. Bohon around the office from time to time as he fills in and stops by to visit his favorite team.

To celebrate his retirement, we're creating a memory book filled with stories, photos, and well-wishes from the people whose lives he has touched.
