Washington Orthodontics (Dr. Kent W. Washington) Orthodontist providing braces for children and adults in Columbia and Sumter, South Carolina. Perry, Alcorn and finished at Dreher High School.

Dr Washington was born in Columbia, SC where he attended Waverly Elementary School, W.A. He went on to finish at South Carolina State University before entering Howard University College of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Washington was selected to a general practice residency porgram at Saint Elizabeth Hospital. Upon completion of his residency program, he was appointed to the faculty of Howa

rd University College of Dentistry where he was an instructor in the Restorative and Pediatric Dentistry departments. In 1989 Dr. Washington completed his orthodontic specialty training and again immediately returned to the faculty as an assistant professor in orthodontics. In 1992 Dr. Washington successfully completed his orthodontic specialty board in the State of South Carolian and returned to his native Columbia to practice the specialty of orthodontics for children and adults. Currently, Dr. Washington has been practicing orthodontics in South Carolina for 19 years and has been in private practice at his current location since 2000.

If a bracket comes loose or breaks off, it's generally okay to go a few days before having it repaired, as long as it isn't causing you any pain or discomfort. Simply give our office a call, and we'll schedule an appointment to have it fixed as soon as possible.
