Congratulations on your retirement, Cindy! Thank you for all you have done for Angell Family Dentistry. We will all miss seeing you in the office.

“I am starting the next chapter of my life, RETIREMENT!

I worked for ten different dental offices in MN and CT starting as a high school student for our family dentist, Dr. Rudolphi. I knew nothing about teeth other than that I had them. I soon developed a passion for teeth that is still with me today.

After a short time working there, Dr. Rudolphi encouraged me to apply for the dental hygiene program at the U of M. Dental hygiene students started by working on each other. The first two photos were taken in Fall, 1977.

A few years later, in the photo of me wearing a lab jacket, I am wearing what was considered PPE for the time!

In December, 1996, I was asked to work as a temp hygienist for Dr. Dave Angell. I soon became an actual employee where I ended up working over half my career. Physical limitations on my part, office needs and an AMAZING dentist/owner (Dave Angell), allowed me to move into a less clinical position as Practice Manager/Treatment Plan Coordinator around 2002.
I got to manage building a new office and adding a new dentist, Steve Angell. We survived the CoVID .

Now it is time to pass my job onto the person I have wanted to for several years, Amanda. She will do a great job for Angell Family Dentistry.

I already miss my co-workers and our patients. I am grateful for all who helped me along the way. But, there are a lot of books to be read, games to be played, places to travel, time to spend with family and friends. I am ready for retirement!”

Wanted to share Dr. Dave Angell's news with anyone we may have inadvertently missed when we mailed letters.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to have worked for this wonderful office you built! We will all miss seeing you in the office.

To My Wonderful Patients and Friends,

It seems that the time has come quick, but it has been 41 years since I started Angell Family Dentistry. It has truly been an honor to provide dental care to you and your families. I appreciate all the trust and support you have shown me, and I am extremely grateful for the friendships I have formed throughout the years with all of you.
As difficult as my decision was to begin my retirement, it has been made easier knowing I am leaving you in very capable and experienced hands. Dr. Steve will continue to provide you with the top-quality care you deserve and have come to expect from he and his staff.
You all have made this a wonderfully fulfilling career and I owe much of this to my patients, and to my dedicated staff.
Thank you once again for the memories, the years of friendship and loyalty you have given me.

Sincerely,

Dave Angell, DDS

We are back to work! We are slowly re-opening here at Angell Family Dentistry and it feels good to be moving in the right direction again. To open we needed to make a few changes to do our best to keep patients and staff safe while they are in our office. For this reason we wanted to update you on what to expect when you come to see us:

-Upon entering our office you will notice that our waiting room has significantly less seating. This assures everyone stays 6 feet apart and unfortunately also mean we have to limit who comes into our office. At this time we can only allow patients and one parent/caregiver if needed. This means no friends/siblings/spouses are allowed to accompany a patient into the office. If discussion is needed about treatment or financial arrangements we can always arrange a phone call to answer any questions.

-We will also have several hand sanitizing stations throughout the office, we request that everyone use them as soon as they enter the office.

-All staff and patients will be required to have their temperature taken upon entering the office and be screened for COVID-19.

- All patients will be required to rinse with a mouth rinse prior to any evaluation or treatment.

- All staff and patients will be required to wear a mask while in our office. - Our staff will have a variety of PPE available to them (face shields, N95 masks, disposable gowns, surgical caps) so we may look different when you see us, but it is all done out of an abundance of caution to keep everyone safe.

We look forward to seeing you again for your dental health needs, please let us know if you have any questions!

COVID-19 Business Update:

First we want to remind everyone that we are still seeing patients for emergencies (which include tooth aches, swelling, broken teeth), anything that could lead to a problem if it isn't addressed.

We will not be physically in the office everyday, but please call the office and you will be given a number to contact one of us. If we don't answer we will call you back as soon as we can.

Also, we are still seeing new patients as well. If you know of anyone who is unable to see their dentist or has an issue, please tell them to give us a call.

We will be in the office again on Monday, so if you have an issue and need to be seen, give a call and we will get you in!

Stay safe!

In these crazy times it has been recommended by the Minnesota Dental Association and American Dental Association that all dental offices stop seeing patients for elective dental treatment. We are following those guidelines and will not be seeing patients for cleanings or any other "elective" treatment until we hear otherwise. We will still be here to help with those with toothaches and broken teeth, because life is still going to happen and issues will arise. Despite our temporary change in hours we are still here to help, please don't hesitate to call, email, or text!

Skittles! Starburst! Snickers! Oh MY! What is your favorite candy? Comment below! Why is it so bad for our teeth anyway? WCCO explains:

The bacteria that causes cavities are fueled by sugar. When bacteria eat the sugar, it causes acid to form on the top of the teeth.
