To our Loyal Patients, Family and Friends,
After carefully monitoring the progression of the COVID 19 pandemic, it has become clear that in order to be part of the solution we need to reschedule our routine dental appointments for the next two weeks or so. Emergency calls will be handled by our staff and we will triage individually.
Based on the shortage of supplies we will limit this to patients of record. When supplies are readily available we will welcome new patients. We hope to see the supply of masks and other protective gear available soon.
Our decision is based on the information provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) CO Department of Regulatory Agencies (CO DORA), CO Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Colorado Dental Association (CDA).
Aerosols are a major factor in the spread of COVID 19. The dental drill and other instruments used to clean teeth create these aerosols. This is typically not a concern, COVID 19 is different and is virulent in airborne aerosols. Despite our diligent adherence to OSHA regulations and universal precautions, we simply cannot control the aerosolization of this novel virus.
We care deeply for the health and safety of our patients and our staff and understand the burdens that we are all facing. With that said, we will do our part to "flatten the curve".
We will have staff available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday's 10-3pm @ 719.598.0872 to answer your questions, schedule future appointments, etc.. we will be checking voicemails several times a day. If you need to reach Dr. Field please call his cell at 719.351.9166.
We hope you stay healthy and use this time to remember what is really important - your family, friends and loved ones.
This too shall pass!
We look forward seeing you!
Dr. Field and Staff
