Dear Patients,
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 crisis and want to update you with the latest information. The following CDC Guidance Protocols are being enforced at AMOS to ensure the safety of you and the AMOS Team. Furthermore, we are mindful of the professional recommendations and guidelines listed below and will continue to monitor the ever-evolving changes of the COVID-19 crisis.
Given the nature of our specialty within dentistry, we will continue to remain open for our patients in need. We, along with our communities, are hoping this public health crisis will end quickly. We are committed to continuing your care, and if you do need or wish to postpone your appointment with us we will happily reschedule your appointment to a later date. As more information becomes available we will continue to update you with any changes to the situation. We here at AMOS are committed to your safety and care, and are available should you have any questions or concerns.

CDC GUIDANCE PROTOCOLS
In an effort to help stop the spread of this virus we are encouraging:
1. Regular hand-washing and overall routine hygiene.
2. Avoid touching your face.
3. Practice social distancing. AMOS is enabling a "Virtual Waiting Room"- we will allow you to call our office to check in and stay in your car rather than the waiting room. We will call you when it is time to bring you and your loved one straight back to our clinical treatment room.
4. Limit the number of friends or family members you bring with you to your appointment to one (1) person. Others will be asked to wait outside our office.
5. We will take your temperature upon arrival at our office as another precautionary step, and assist you in rescheduling your appointment should you feel ill.
6. Answer a series of brief screening questions to assess your health and ensure safety.
COVID-19 SCREENING QUESTIONS:
Do you have a fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms?
Have you have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or being tested for the virus?
Have you have traveled out of the country in the last 2 months?
Have you have traveled to the following counties in Colorado in the past week: Eagle, Summit, Pitkin, or Gunnison?
If you answer yes to any of the above questions we will work with you to reschedule your appointment for a later date.
CURRENT RECOMMENDATIONS AND GUIDELINES
The President's Coronavirus Guidelines for America state “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry such as healthcare services... you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule. You and your employers should allow CDC guidance to protect your health at work.”
The American Dental Association (ADA) and Colorado Dental Association Issues Recommendation to Postpone Non-Essential Treatment for 3 weeks.
The American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Member Alert: COVID-19 Guidance for OMS Practices state "in the short term, over the next 2 to 3 weeks, procedures that are determined to by the oral and maxillofacial surgeon to be completely elective should be deferred."
