Well, the day finally arrived – I am officially retired! It’s bittersweet since I have such great staff and patients, but I’m looking forward to spending more time with the grandgirls, camping, fishing, golfing, playing Pickleball, and more. In fact, Carla and I took off after church on Sunday and drove to one of our favorite campgrounds at Lake Dillon. The picture below was taken yesterday on the bike path between Frisco and Copper Mountain.
Many of you know that three years ago as the day-to-day running of the office got more complicated, I affiliated with a dental service organization (DSO). This freed me from hours of administrative work so that I could focus on what I love – practicing dentistry. Over the last several months many of you met my potential replacement, Dr. Gius, but he recently decided to pursue an opportunity with a private practice. Luckily, another dentist affiliated with our DSO was able to step into the practice several weeks ago without losing a beat. Dr. Elena Ogan comes to the office with 17 years of experience both as an associate and in running her own private practice. She and the staff have already hit it off and she is looking forward to meeting more of you. Looking at the group photo, below, she’s in the gray scrubs to my left.
Within the next several weeks, you will receive a more formal introduction to Dr. Ogan as well as information regarding a new name for the practice. While the name will change, the office will still be in the same location with the same long-time staff.
I may still see you in the office here and there as I fill in when needed. In the meantime, because of our wonderful staff, the office will still be a place where, to borrow from “Cheers,” everybody knows your name! Thanks to all of you who made my career so enjoyable.
