Sad day for Angela and me. Z has been hanging out with us for 14 years. He’s got some special needs, and we have LOVED working with him. But as he turns 21, his insurance is making him graduate to a different office. We love you, Z! It’s been so much fun.

As 5-year-old Oliver hopped out of the chair and his 2-year-old sister eagerly hopped in, Oliver said, “You’re doing a GREAT JOB, dentist!” Thanks, Oliver! You did an amazing job yourself. Plus, you made me smile.

Today one of my favorites was 15-year-old Tyler, who patiently endured Angela and me as we tried out the cool new lingo we had learned from our kids, nieces, and nephews. He wasn’t particularly impressed. But we thought we were hilarious!

Today the brightest spot was ED. Thirteen years old with Down Syndrome, she could have have resisted. But instead she laughed and smiled and teased her way through the entire appointment. Thanks, E. You made us all happy!

What a way to start the week! One of our first dads of the day had a T-shirt with a music staff and the time signature 13/8 with the words, "These Are Difficult Times." And then, almost immediately afterwards, a mom had a T-shirt with a drawing of cinnamon rolls and the caption, "Synonym Rolls... Like the Ones Grammer Used to Make!" Definitely a sign... It's going to be a good day!

Today's highlight was sweet little Brooklyn C. She made my day when I heard her little voice behind me telling me, "I yike you." Thanks Brookie! I yike you too.

Thank you to 10-year-old Ellie for showing up for her exam/cleaning with hideous, huge, grey teeth. She was quite proud of herself. (I was proud of her when she pulled them out and showed me her happy, real teeth underneath.)
